PLATFORM

This project was featured in GDUSA and Graphis Design Annual — 2023 Print/Packaging.

Bejeti, the highest quality and most sophisticated minimalist wallets available on the market today, and an alchemic triumph of precision engineering and exquisite design.

  • Handcrafted entirely in the USA, no two are exactly alike, and with Bejeti’s multi-layered counterfeit prevention system, our clients can rest reassured their meticulously crafted piece is authentic and remains individualized.

And eco-friendly too. From forged Damascus steel that is at least 80% recycled, to using plastic pollution as the showcase substrate in our ecological line, our wallets are proof that manufacturing and the earth’s environment can support each other in spectacular, working harmony.

Bejeti has a philosophy of creating wallets from materials that are some of the most limited and exquisite in the world.

TONE & MOOD

/ 02

We explored a number of visuals and headlines paired with color and typography to get a feel for the brand and where we wanted to take the overall look. The target is the U.S. ultra-luxury customer (Top 1% of US incomes) skewing slightly male, with behavioral patterns that include exclusivity, scarcity and personal engagement.

CGI & PHOTO

/ 03

Original CGI assets were created by Vini Naso (3D artist). These assets were used across video, website, NFTs and social. We also had matching real-life photography taken so consumers could see both rendered and actual versions of the product.

KEY VISUALS

/ 04

Contextual hero photos were created with the combination of real scenes and the CGI images that were created from the 3D artist. The wallets have been placed into scenes which reflect where their elements may have come from i.e. Meteorite/Other-worldly planet, Recycled Upwaste/Ocean, etc.

PACKAGING STUDY

Part of our strategy was targeting writers of high end tech and fashion publications. Knowing that, we had to create something eye striking and different that would grab their attention enough to write about and share with their regular audience.

Our overall idea was to send a “kit” like package that would incorporate a real piece of meteorite as a teaser (Initial launch focused on the meteorite wallet). The package would also include an exclusive code for them to view the presale Bejeti website where they could find out more about products and have the first shot at pre-odering their own. A second code was included to share with their audience that would grant access to the site as well. Entries were limited to the first 100 consumers with the overflow being put on the “Insider” mailing list for first dibs on news and products.

We worked in wires at this stage in order to quickly ideate.

Levitating Desktop Stand

v. 01 shows a magnetized stand that reflects the sharp angles of a meteorite/spatial debree. Once the cap is removed, a bright led shines onto the bottom of the piece of meteorite that will float from the magnetized stand.

Hologram Box

v. 02 shows a fully operational hologram box that would show the process of a meteorite exploding and morphing into a Bejeti wallet.

Tube w/ Detaching Particle Board (Chosen Concept)

v. 03 shows a self contained tube, embossed on the outside with branding. The cap would also be purposefully crafted with paper to reflect the end trail of a meteorite. When removed, the invitation (On the particle board), code card (Hologram foil) and meteorite chunk (Magnetized to hidden strip in board) are revealed.

Infinity Box

v. 04 shows a simplified gift box approach. When the box is opened the interior is covered by a pull-board with messaging. When removed, the interior is revealed, which is covered in mirrors and illuminated by LED lights.

RD. 2 CONCEPT

The impact of Covid-19 and supply chain shortages caused massive logistical issues and forced us to rethink our initial vision into something more time and cost effective.

In order to keep cost down we had to take the new approach knowing we had to use more traditional packaging methods. We teamed up with an amazing duo at Somersault Letterpress located in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. In our combined efforts we were able to establish a sleek VIP style kid that housed the invitation, meteorite and code card in their own respective sections.

Exterior Shells

We crafted a rigid box wrapped in Neenah Touche 111#, giving each container a sleek, hand-crafted look.

Envelopes

Inside, the same substrate was used to craft envelopes for both the custom access card and invitation. GW Metallic Black foil #180 was used to subtly complement the all-black box and interior envelopes.

Code Card

Tucked neatly inside the small envelope was a stainless-steel access card, precisely machine cut and personally labeled for each individual influencer with a unique access code providing them with exclusive access to the pre-sale website where they could browse the products, download the media kit, and share the link with their followers using a trackable code.

Invitation

The invitation was printed on Gmund Cotton 333# cover, in Shiny Cream with GW Holographic Silver foil #910.

Meteorite

The final touch was the inclusion of an authentic piece of meteorite, carbon-dated 4.6 billion years, as a token of our appreciation for allowing us to introduce them to the future of ultra-luxury wallets.

SET CREATION

We were able to create a unique scene by crafting a real set by hand. Black gravel was laid out as a base. Foam blocks were hand cut, sprayed with adhesive, covered in black gravel then painted to match the base. This gave us a true representation of an other-worldly planet.

AWARD HEROES

The VIP kit was a 2022 GDUSA Packaging winner and named as a honorable mention in the 2023 Graphis Design Awards (Print/Packaging) up against some of the biggest brands in the world. Bejeti was also featured in several prestigious publications, such as DuPont Registry, Maxim, FHM and Esquire.

WEBSITE

The final phase to bring all elements together was to create a presale website that was gated to build exclusivity amongst the consumer base. We kept the layout simple as it was to be built on Shopify’s platform. A global repository was also created in order to ensure consistent assets across both presale and Shopify websites.
